Trust & Transparency

Last updated: June 2026

MyTradingReviews exists to help traders make better-informed decisions about brokers, prop firms, platforms, and academies. That only works if people trust what they read here. These are the ethical standards we hold ourselves to.

1. Independence

We are an independent platform. User ratings are generated by the community and cannot be bought, removed, or reordered in exchange for payment. No company can pay to raise its score, bury a genuine negative review, or change where it ranks.

2. How We Make Money

We fund the platform through advertising, business subscriptions, and affiliate partnerships — we may earn a commission when you sign up with some companies through our links, at no extra cost to you. These commercial relationships are kept strictly separate from user ratings and review moderation. Where relevant, affiliate links are disclosed in our Disclaimer.

3. How Reviews Work

  • Open to real users — anyone with a genuine, first-hand experience can review, after confirming their email.
  • Moderated — every review is screened against our Review Guidelines before publishing.
  • Verified where possible — reviewers can provide proof of a genuine experience to earn a Verified badge.
  • Protected — we actively detect and remove fake or incentivised reviews under our Fake Review Policy.

4. Equal Treatment & Right of Reply

The same rules apply to every company, whether or not it has a commercial relationship with us. Businesses can claim their profile and respond publicly to reviews, and they can report reviews they believe break our rules — but they cannot have genuine, policy-compliant reviews removed simply because they are negative.

5. How Scores Are Calculated

A company’s user score reflects the ratings of its published reviews. To keep scores fair for companies with very few reviews, we apply a weighting that nudges results with a small number of ratings towards the overall average until enough reviews accumulate. Expert scores, where shown, are separate editorial assessments and are labelled as such.

6. Mistakes & Feedback

We won’t always get everything right. If you believe a review, score, or decision is wrong, tell us at trust@mytradingreviews.com and we will look into it. We update our policies and systems as the industry evolves.
